La boda / The wedding
In the summer of 2016, we went on a cycling tour of Finland. We visited beautiful Koli National Park in North Karelia, one of the few places in Finland where you get mountains high enough to be able to see the mostly flat landscape for miles around. It was there, on top of a mountain, where we decided to get married, and amazingly enough, we both had the same idea, only Miguel said it first! So we return to a mountain top to get married this summer in the Santuario de San Miguel de Aralar, Navarra, Spain. Sometimes a little perspective helps you see things more clearly.
About / Información
Pamplona is special to both of us – for Miguel it is home and for Marina it has become a second home. We want to make sure all of you are able to experience a bit of what we love so much about the city and give you some ideas about what you might be interested in experiencing beyond Pamplona, in its region of Navarra and even a further afield. We’ve put together a mini travel guide here that should help answer a lot of questions and start giving you some ideas. (Please see the menu under this About section.) It’s a long way to come for many of you, so we want to make sure we give you a proper introduction! Later on we’ll also be adding a password-protected page with short intros to everyone who is coming.
Please do get in touch if your question is not answered here!

Staying in Pamplona
There are many hotel, apartment and hostel options for every budget in Pamplona. We recommend staying in Pamplona for 28-30 July, but you may also want to look further afield and check out “casa rurales” in the region beyond those dates. Because of small numbers and a wide range of budgets, we are currently not going for a wedding rate at a specific hotel.
We do recommend staying in the historic centre or just outside.
